The most wide-spread language on the island is English. French is however very common on the French side. Dutch, Spanish, Creole and Papiamento are also spoken in the melting pot of Saint Martin.
There are 2 post offices in Saint Martin. And a good number of mail boxes too.
Phoning on the island is also not a problem. However note that all phones work with cards (for sale on the island). Depending on your provider, you can as well use your mobile phone, but for a very high price.
