

With a very wide range of restaurants and a good range of prices, Saint Martin is definitely the gastronomic capital of the Caribbeans.
The local specialities are: lobsters, chicken “colombo” (with a specific mix of spices), the ribs (barbecued pork), cod accras and many other delicacies that you will soon discover. The Ti-punch will become your favorite drink.
The supermarkets of the island may help you to find your favorite products as well as the local products (fruit, vegetables, etc). .

The climate of Saint Martin is said to be “intertropical”. The average temperature of the air and of the sea is 28°C all year round.
Although there is a slight contrast between the dry season (January till June) and the wet season (June till December), there is no real rainy season like on the neighboring islands. Slight rains might however disturb your day.
The Trade Winds, “Kings of the Caribbeans”, generally blow from December till March and from June till August.
The cyclone season officially begins on July 1st and ends on November 30th.
